Personal profile

Academic Background

I am a PhD student with the ARIES DTP and am based at the British Antarctic Survey in the Atmosphere, Ice and Climate team. I am also in the School of Environmental Science at UEA.

My project focuses on reactive nitrogen species (HONO, NOx, HNO3 and NO3-) in polar environments. The specific aims are to measure HONO concentrations in and above snow using a long path absorption photometer and identify the key formation and loss processes of these nitrogen species using isotopic techniques. This will enable a better understanding of the link between these reactive nitrogen species and the snowpack.

My project is supervised by Markus Frey (BAS), Jan Kaiser (UEA) and Anna Jones (BAS).
