Miriam has 18 years experience working as a community pharmacist. She arrived at a Teacher Practitioner in the School of Pharmacy when the school opened in 2003. She spent 14 years teaching on the Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Therapeutics modules. In 2013/14 she worked with Prof. David Wright and Dr. Michael Twigg on a pilot study to evaluate the potential effect of an intervention to encourage patients to self-present for medicines use reviews. In 2016/17 she was involved in a proof of concept study testing annual asthma reviews in community pharmacy in patients who fail to attend at their GP surgery. In 2018 she joined the pharmacy practice research team as a PhD student.
