Key Research Interests

 Main research interests include:

  •  Applied and methodological statistical research to improve health and health care system,
  • Health Informatics - Statistical and Machine Learning methods for analysing high dimensional data, particularly those arising from electronic health records, modern bioinformatics, genomics and high resolution imaging technologies,
  • Dynamic predictions using joint models and landmark approach with particular focus on risk prediction for dementia,
  • Analysis and modelling of longitudinal data with nonlinear trajectory profiles including neuropsychological test scores measuring cognitive decline in dementia,
  • Statistical design and analysis of randomised controlled and cluster randomised trials,
  • Growth mixture models and latent class growth analysis,
  • Regularised regressions and latent variable models  with various penalisation techniques including LASSO, HyperLASSO and Elastic Net.
