Academic Background

Mohsin Raza is Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia (UEA), UK. He completed his PhD at Math, Physics and Electrical Engineering Department, Northumbria University (NU), UK and BS (Hons) and MS degrees in Electronic Engineering from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Pakistan. Prior to his work at UEA, he worked as a senior lecturer (2020-24) at Edge Hill University, UK as a Lecturer (2019-20) at Northumbria University, UK, as a post-doctoral fellow (2018-19) at Middlesex University, UK, as a Demonstrator and Doctoral Fellow (2015-17) at Northumbria University UK, Junior lecturer (2010-12) and later as Lecturer (2012-15) in Engineering department at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Pakistan, and Hardware Support Engineer (2009-10) at Unified Secure Services, Pakistan. He has also served as a lead guest editor for esteemed journals, technical committee member for several conferences and chair of EAI BodyNETs 2021. He has also been a guest editor and reviewer in several special issues and journals.

Dr Raza is working in smart systems and applications with the focus on AI and IoT enabled applications in healthcare, industry 4.0 and process automation. His research interests include

Teaching Interests

Dr Mohsin Raza is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He possesses a deep understanding of teaching pedagogy and committed to fostering excellence in education. He has served as the Programme Leader of MSc Computing, a member of teaching and learning committee and External Examiner of BSc (Hons) Computing L6 Top-up, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape and guiding the next generation of professionals in the field. 

In fifteen years of teaching, Dr Raza has taught several undergraduate and post graduate modules. Some of these are as follows:
