I joined UEA in September 2019, having been a Teaching Fellow at the University of Birmingham and a Visiting Lecturer at the universities of Birmingham, De Montfort and Wolverhampton. I completed my PhD at the University of Bristol.
My research engages with the senses, philosophy and performance. I have a particular interest in experimental cuisine and 'Molecular Gastronomy', as well as the writings of Martin Heidegger and Slavoj Žižek. I have worked with a number of artists and restaurants and am on the project team for Incubate-Propagate, a AHRC Research Network investigating models of artist development in theatre and performance, which seeks to broaden the socio-economic diversity of the next generation of artists and theatre-makers.
