I am passionate about education. I enjoy facilitating students to achieve their potential and developing new parts of the curriculum.

Course Director for the Post Graduate Clinical Education

Courses (PG Cert/ Dip/ Masters in Clinical Education).  We run multiprofessional, face to face and on line courses, that are available full-time or part-time. The courses provide training for health care professionals to learn more about educational theory and practice, and provide opportunities to undertake work based reflection, projects and research. The PG Cert courses are accredited for membership of the Higher Education Academy.

I support and supervise several projects in education and leadership.

Academic History

I qualified as a Doctor from University College London (UCL) in 1991. I trained as a GP in North London and joined the London Academic Training Scheme to develop skills in teaching and research. I worked as an inner-city London GP and lecturer at UCL for 10 years where I researched and developed undergraduate teaching in General Practice, and supported the development of University Linked Practices.

In 2007 I moved to Norwich and took a post at the Norwich Medical School as an associate tutor for PBL. I became a Lecturer in Clinical Skills in 2008. I completed an EdD at UEA in 2018.

Head of PBL 2013 - 2018

Head of Year 2 from 2011 to 2021.

Leadership Lead 2019- 2023. I set up the Leadership theme in 2019 in collaboration with Norwich Business School and the Norfolk and Norwich NHS Hospital
