Biography

Pippa Belderson is a Senior Research Associate based at the Norwich Medical School.  Following a BA in anthropology and a MMedSci in nutrition, her PhD combined these interests, examining the influences on food choice among older adults. She first joined the UEA in 1999 as a researcher on a national evaluation of school breakfast clubs and has subsequently worked on many health and social care research projects and evaluations at UEA for the School of Social Work and the Medical School. These studies apply social research methods (including surveys, interviews, focus groups and secondary data analysis), and have involved service users and practitioners. Findings have been published both as academic papers and as reports which are accessible to the practice community and policy makers.
