Biography

Pratip Chakraborty received a dual Bachelors and Masters degree in 2015 with a major in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, and obtained a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry (Concentration: Physical Chemistry) from Temple University, Philadelphia in 2020. Pratip performed postdoctoral research at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, before joining UEA. His previous research ranges from investigating gas-phase non-adiabatic excited state chemical processes to understanding molecular level picture of interfaces relevant to Saturnian moon Titan. Pratip is always interested in exploring new avenues in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry. At UEA, he is working with Dr. Garth Jones to gain insight into anti-Kasha emission in molecules relevant to photovoltaics.
