I am actively seeking highly motivated PhD candidates and Postdoctoral researchers to join my research group in the field of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through interdisciplinary approaches and leveraging emerging technologies, we strive to advance the understanding and development of robust security measures, intelligent threat detection systems, and resilient IoT frameworks.
Rameez Asif is working as an Associate Professor at School of Computing Sciences, University of East Anglia (UEA), Norwich UK since 2021. His research interests are: cybersecurity, IoT, wireless communications, embedded systems, cloud computing, and data processing. Previously he was working as an Assistant Professor at Electronics and Electrical Engineering Department, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow UK. Where, he extensively researched energy systems, cybersecurity, IoT, cloud computing, electrical vehicles, smart grids and teleprotection. He received his PhD degree from Friedrich–Alexander University Erlangen–Nuremberg, Germany in collaboration with Max Planck Institute from the Science of Light in 2012. Later, he joined leading research institutes including Denmark Technical University (DTU) and University of Cambridge, UK. He has over 130 publications in different international journals and conferences.
Our research group specializes in the dynamic intersection of cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI). With a strong focus on advancing knowledge and addressing critical challenges, we strive to develop innovative solutions that secure interconnected systems. By leveraging AI algorithms and IoT architectures, we aim to enhance threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. Our interdisciplinary approach fosters collaboration and drives breakthrough research, resulting in practical frameworks for safeguarding digital ecosystems. Through cutting-edge projects, publications, and collaborations with industry partners, our research group actively contributes to shaping the future of cybersecurity, IoT, and AI, making a lasting impact on the evolving landscape of digital security.
