I am an experienced Academic Developer, Education Lecturer, and research supervisor with over 20 years’ expertise supporting diverse postgraduate researchers from initial concept to completed dissertation or thesis. My supervision practice is rooted in strong research design, rigorous methodological training, and structured developmental feedback, giving students the clarity and confidence needed to progress successfully.
Since 2017, I have taught across the PGCERT and MA in Higher Education Practice at the University of East Anglia, leading seminar teaching on research supervision and delivering modules in academic skills, research methods, and dissertation development for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods projects. I also teach doctoral students on research skills and lead institutional work on Inclusive Learning.
Alongside my work with postgraduate researchers, I contribute to BA Education teaching across modules such as Inclusive Childhood, SEND, Creativity and Learning, and Academic Development in Education.
My teaching and scholarly interests include academic identities, research-informed teaching, student experience and progression, creative pedagogies, and internationalising the curriculum, with methodological expertise in case study, survey research, auto-ethnography, and narrative inquiry.
