Biography

Reetika Revathy Subramanian is a Senior Research Associate on the Successful intervention pathways for migration as adaptation (SUCCESS) research project at the School of Global Development, University of East Anglia.

She holds a PhD and MPhil in Multidisciplinary Gender Studies from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Media and Cultural Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Mumbai). She has spent over a decade working as a journalist and researcher writing on gender, labour migration and climate adaptation. She is a recipient of the Gates Cambridge International Scholarship, Chevening-Cambridge Trust Scholarship, Charpak Scholarship of Excellence, and the Bill Gates Sr Prize 2022.  

Reetika is the founder and host of the 'Climate Brides Podcast' and co-creator of the multilingual comic book, ‘Raindrop in the Drought: Godavari Dange’. She is also the co-convenor of the Womxn and Development Study Group of the Development Studies Association, UK.
