Career

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree, at the University of Hull (1999-2001), and the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia (2007-2010). Sarah is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professionals Councul (2010-present).

For the past 15 years, Sarah has worked as a Clinical Psychologist working across age ranges, diverse backgrounds and those living with varying degrees of psychological, emotional and physical health difficulties. She has worked with indivduals, couples, carers, and groups. Working across a multitude of NHS services has provided Sarah with rich experiences of areas of work, including, sexual health and psychosexual services, weight management and obesity services, chronic pain services, diabetes services, and cancer services. As well as her clinical work she also has extensive experience in delivering training, teaching, supervision, and consultation to various staff groups from different organisations. 

Currently, Sarah spends her working week split between her clinical practice alongside her role at the University of East Anglia. Sarah's clinical job is working for Macmillan and NHS cancer services, also she works as an associate in private practice. Her clinical work complements her work as a Clinical Lecturer and Tutor at the University of East Anglia. Dealing with all aspects associated with living with long term conditions is an area of research interest. A leading role for Sarah is working with service user and carer colleagues to enhance involvement within the Clincial Psychology Doctorate programme and across the department.
