Academic Background
I'm a Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Norwich Business School and member of the Employment Systems and Institutions group.
I obtained my PhD in Organisational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London (fully funded by Birkbeck) and MSc in Psychology (Distinction) at Nottingham Trent University. I'm a Fellow of HEA and have a postgraduate certificate in HR Management from Nottingham Trent University (CIPD). Prior to joining NBS, I'd worked in the Department of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck, where, in parallel with doing my PhD, I taught and held research positions.
My PhD research examined positivity at work including lay concepts of positive thinking and organisational expectations around displaying positivity and employee reactions to that. My research interests include identity regulation, organisational control, antecedents of surface acting in intra-organisational relationships, the role of psychological safety in employee wellbeing and growth, and innovative behaviour of neurodivergent employees. I'm a mixed method researcher with an interest in grounded theory method, surveys, and experiments.
Career
I am a former HR/International Mobility practitioner with the experience of work in private, non-profit, and public sectors and international organisations.
Teaching Interests
I have taught diverse student populations on modules related to organisational research methods, work and wellbeing, leadership, performance management, learning and development, selection and assessment, consultancy, individual differences, and business ethics. Currently, I'm delivering on the following modules as a module organiser, seminar leader, or dissertation supervisor:

Areas of Expertise
I pursue a workplace coaching and mentoring qualification. Leveraging my ongoing training, I'm offering 18 hours of free goal-focused coaching to adults with ADHD in 2024/25.
I consult individuals, practitioners, and businesses on evidence-based HR practices and workplace wellbeing.
Administrative Posts
I'm the local UEA lead for the UK reproducibility network, promoting and raising awareness of open and transparent research practices.
