Personal profile

Academic Background

I'm a Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Norwich Business School and member of the Employment Systems and Institutions group.

I obtained my PhD in Organisational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London (fully funded by Birkbeck) and MSc in Psychology (Distinction) at Nottingham Trent University. I'm a Fellow of HEA and have a postgraduate certificate in HR Management from Nottingham Trent University (CIPD). Prior to joining NBS, I'd worked in the Department of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck, where, in parallel with doing my PhD, I taught and held research positions.

My PhD research examined positivity at work including lay concepts of positive thinking and organisational expectations around displaying positivity and employee reactions to that. My research interests include identity regulation, organisational control, antecedents of surface acting in intra-organisational relationships, the role of psychological safety in employee wellbeing and growth, and innovative behaviour of neurodivergent employees. I'm a mixed method researcher with an interest in grounded theory method, surveys, and experiments.
