Biography

I joined Norwich Business School as a Lecturer in Marketing in June 2015. I hold a BSc in Industrial Management from the University of Tehran, an MBA from Carleton University in Canada, and a PhD in Marketing from the University of Leeds in the UK. Before joining academia, I worked as Head of International Marketing in the automotive industry in Iran and have also been involved in consultancy work for a number of local organisations on issues of marketing research and strategy. My current research interests revolve around international marketing strategy issues, exporting, various aspects of emerging markets firms and SMEs. My research has been published in internationally renowned academic journals such as Journal of International Marketing, International Business Review, International Small Business Journal, International Marketing Review, and Industrial Marketing Management. My work is also regularly presented at leading international academic conferences across the world and my research is award winning including the 2019 S. Tamer Cavusgil Award for the most significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of international marketing management.
