Academic Background

I trained as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) at the University
of Reading in 2016, then spent a semester abroad at Aarhus University in
Denmark before completing my Masters in Psychological Theory and
Practice (MSci) in 2017. I then trained to work with children and young
people (CYP) at the Anxiety and Depression Clinic for CYP (AnDY) at the
University of Reading, where I delivered one-to-one and group low
intensity interventions for anxiety and depression in clinic and secondary
school settings. In 2019, I moved to Australia to begin a Cotutelle PhD (a
joint PhD programme) funded by Macquarie University, Sydney, and the
University of Reading. In 2021, I returned to the UK to complete my PhD
(graduated in 2024) and joined UEA as an EMHP lecturer in November
2023. My PhD research focused predominantly on autism, social
information processing, and anxiety.
