Researching methods to determine the geographical origin of foods and other materials by combining bio-element stable isotope ratios with trace element data and phylogeographic data. Developing methods based on bio-element stable isotope ratios combined with trace element data to verify different agricultural practices used in food production.

Developing on-line degradation techniques combined with CF-IRMS to determine intra-molecular isotope ratios.
