Biography
My research involves the application of next-generation sequencing technologies to understand biological problems. My group has a focus on small RNA bioinformatics and we have published several tools for detection of miRNAs and their targets. More generally we are interested in understanding mechanisms of gene regulation at the transcriptional and post-transcription level using a variety of NGS applications.
I always welcome email enquiries from potential PhD students so please feel free to get in contact - [email protected]. Our research opportunities allow you to search for projects and scholarships and there is further information about becoming a Postgraduate Research student at UEA here.
