Simone Valente is a Reader at the School of Economics. He holds a PhD in Economic Theory and Institutions from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2004), with a thesis on macroeconomic dynamics, fiscal policy and intergenerational equity. Before joining UEA, Simone was a Research Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2012-2014), and a Lecturer at ETH Zurich (2005-2012). Simone’s research interests include dynamic macroeconomics, growth theory, sustainability, trade and development, and status-dependent preferences.
