Dr. Stefan Mandelbaum is a Lecturer in International Law. With a background in Philosophy, Law and Greek Philology he is particularly interested in critical and historical approaches to international legal thought. Combining teaching and research experiences in both its commercial and public manifestations, his academic work encompasses structural analyses of legitimacy concerns in international investment law, sports law, international criminal law and transnational commercial law.
With a focus on Classical German Philosophy (German Idealism), furthermore, Stefan explores the importance of dialectical methods and reasoning in the understanding of the epistemic conditions of law and legal conflicts in general and conflict resolution in particular.
