Dr Tianjiao(Helen) Xia is Professor of International Business and Innovation at Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. Prior to joining University of East Anglia, she worked at Loughborough University, University of Bath and the University of Liverpool.
Helen’s main research interests include foreign competition, innovation, comparative study of international business environments in emerging and advanced economies and SME innovation strategies. She has won the Best Paper awards from the Academy of Management.
Helen’s research has been published in a wide range of journals including Journal of International Business Studies, British Journal of Management, Journal of Small Business Management, International Business Review, Technnovation, R&D Management and Journal of Business Research. She has consulted on SMEs innovation strategies and innovation policy for a variety of different foreign and local organizations including biotechnology companies, science parks and government organizations.
Helen has extensive teaching experience and has taught research-lead courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels on International Management and Innovation.
