Biography

PhD student - Social and linguistic anthropology

Funded by the Southeast Network of Social Sciences (SeNNS), 1+3 Studentship in Social Anthropology

My research explores the relationships between linguistic encounters and navigating civil life. My current project (PhD, funded by SeNNS), explores migrants' experiences of traditional and linguistic precarity in advice encounters; in Great Yarmouth, UK. Generally, my research interests include how we think about and engage in linguistic encounters in everyday life (particularly civil life and the state), experiences of precarity, and UK coastal communities.
