Postgraduate Researcher and activist based at the School of International Development (DEV). Currently working on the ethnography of downtown locality of Srinagar (Capital city of Indian controlled Kashmir and one of the hubs of popular resistance against Indian state in Kashmir). The ethnography explores the everyday state-society transactions with a special focus on the people that question the legitimacy of the state.
Past expereince includes working as journalist and activist in Kashmir with most of the work being mainly based out of Kashmir.
Masters in International Relations (Peace and Conflict) studies.

His main research areas of interest include: Kashmir conflict, everyday state-soceity transactions, everyday resistance, post-colonial hegemony, social navigation, neo-institutionalism and conflict studies.
