Doctoral researcher, Associate tutor and freelance consultant based at the University of East Anglia. 

working on micro-analysis of active political conflicts with particular focus on South Asia. I take interest in exploration of state-society interaction in militarized authoritarian regimes.

Current work -- ethnographic study of downtown Srinagar (Kashmir) exploring the popular normalisation of informal institutions in navigating repressive structures and procedures of state.

Open to engage with Governments, International organizations, thinktanks, consultancies and non-profit organizations in English, Urdu, Kashmiri and Hindi.

Academic interests include -- conflict studies, informal institutions, everyday state and society, repressive regimes, and South Asia (wrt area studies).
