Academic Background
I hold a First Class (with Honours) Master of Mathematics (MMath) Degree from Aberystwyth University where I won six awards for academic performance and two awards for my volunteer roles that I held during my degree.
I had the good fortune of being successful in a bursary application between my second and third year which enabled me to spend the summer researching `higher-rank graphs', I resumed work in this area during a research project in my final year.
Key Research Interests
My current work concerns itself with the properties of
Asymptotic Approximations of Boundary Layer Flows.
Broadly my interests are
Fluid Flow and Wave Impact Models,
Theory of Vibrations,
Asymptotic Analysis and Numerical Analysis.
I have other interests surrounding the rigorous justification of applied methods, such as Spectral Theory. I am also intrigued by Symbolic Dynamical Systems, in particular those arising from Higher-Rank Graphs.
Education/Academic qualification
Master of Mathematics, Major Project: Wave Impacts on Coastal Structures: an Introduction to Pressure Impulse Theory // Minor Project: Topological Invariants for Multi-Dimensional Symbolic Dynamical Systems for Higher-Rank Graphs, Aberystwyth University
