Personal profile
Biography
I am currently working at UEA as a Lecturer of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Clinical Psychologies and Psychological Therapies in the Norwich medical School.
Prior to this role I was working as a Clinical Tutor on the Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course at the University of East London, where I delivered teaching in clinical skills and working with people with learning disabilities. I also worked in the Barnet Learning Disability Service as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist, working with adults with learning disabilities as well as their families and support staff.
I attained my qualification as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, prior to moving to the UK in 2018. Since then, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient mental health, forensic and neuropsychology services.
My clinical and research areas of interest are around people living with Learning Disabilities and Neurodevelopmental disorders. I have published in the Bulletin of the Faculty for People with Learning Disabilities and presented a poster at the Seattle Conference on Research in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
