Biography

Valentina is an environmental economist and postdoctoral fellow in the School of Environmental Sciences and a member of the Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment (CSERGE) with expertise in analysing economic data for informing decisions at the intersection between economy and ecosystems. Her research interests span from societal well-being and sustainable development indicators to the circular economy, waste management, ecosystem services, natural capital accounting, environmental policy and decision-making framework. She is currently involved in the EU Horizon MARine Biodiversity and Ecosystem Functioning leading to Ecosystem Services (MARBEFES) project on marine biodiversity valuation and assessment.

I am currently working on the MARine Biodiversity and Ecosystem Functioning leading to Ecosystem Services (MARBEFES) project where the ecological, social and economic valuation will develop and apply on marine ecosystems.
