Key Research Interests
My research focuses on the analysis of marketing communication messages, with emphasis on corporate imagery. I am concerned with the mechanisms of visual message transmission and reception, structure and rhetoric in branding and marketing communications. In my thesis, I study the use of computational aesthetic measures for quantifying and analysing formal characteristics of marketing visuals, and the application of statistical methods for modelling and inference, along with techniques from machine learning.
