I am a PhD candidate at the school of Arts, Media, and American studies. Precisely, my research focuses on Western television and its reception globally. For my PhD thesis, I look at issues of gender representation in American Television and how they are received and negotiated by audiences in the Middle East and North Africa region.
I have an interest in issues regarding gender and gender representation, women's rights and women studies, feminism, Third world and postcolonial feminisms, media representations, audience reception and audience studies, and Television.
