- General Adult and Old Age Psychiatrist. Sakina, Seha. Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, since Septmber 2025. https://sakina.seha.ae/
- Psychiatrist for the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Clinic- Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust from April 2022- January 2024: Together with Dr Hannah Fox (General Practitioner in Norwich, UK), we sat up and ran a specialist clinic for asylum seekers and refugees in Norfolk. These clinics provided specialist input into the care of forced migrants in order to improve their access to mental health support. The clinics were part of the Advancing Mental Health Equalities (AMHE) Collaborative of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Unfortuantely, due to funding issues, the clinics stopped in 2024. - Consultant in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry (Older People Community Team, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Norwich, UK) from June 2017 to Septmber 2025. I worked as part of a multidisciplinary team of mental health nurses, psychologists and support workers providing medical input to the care of older patients (those aged 70 years and above) with dementia and mental health problems and also younger patients with early-onset dementia.
- Honorary Associate Professor and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK) since August 2017. I provide input into medical students' training and am also involved in the interview process for MBBS candidates. I am also a clinical and educational supervisor to junior doctors.
