Career

Zoë studied for her MChem in the School of Chemistry at the University of East Anglia. She then moved to the school of Pharmacy to complete her PhD with Prof. Mark Searcey, studying the active delivery of gold nanoparticles to lung cancers for photodynamic therapy. Following this, she worked in the Searcey group as a senior research fellow focusing on increasing the selectivity of cytotoxin warheads towards cancers.

Zoë took up a position as a Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry in February 2022. Her research interests include developing highly selective cancer treatments and nanoparticle based therapeutics.
