Exploring how reasonable adjustments, competence standards, and curriculum design shape the experiences and progression of disabled and neurodivergent students in Biological Sciences. This project will identify points where unclear expectations, inflexible practices, or inherited academic conventions create unnecessary barriers, and distinguish these from genuine requirements of academic competence. Working with staff and students, the project will develop practical, evidence-based guidance and tools to support more consistent, transparent, and inclusive teaching, assessment, and reasonable-adjustment practice.
