The research addressed the loss of coastal heritage in Benin, home to many UNESCO-listed historic sites and containing many protected environmental areas. Loss of coastal heritage is damaging the highly valuable and environmentally sustainable tourism industry. Activities included developing partnerships with collaborators in Benin, working on delivering impact from previous research, and co-developing new research questions.
