Abstract
An experimental digital-first monograph in which chapters are published serially online, charting the artefactual engagements of the London Missionary Society between 1795 and the present. The work is intended to chart the emergence of the 'exhibitionary complex' (Bennet) and the 'imperial complex of visuality' (Mirzoeff) from their evangelical roots in the early nineteenth century, through a series of interlocking chapters that illustrates the coevalness of different parts of the world (Fabian).
