In this multicenter analysis of the outcomes of sentinel node biopsy for early-stage pT1b–pT2a melanoma (, all patients mapped to AJCC IIIA subgroup yet one in three had deposits > 1 mm. Prompt reevaluation of the role of SNB in early-stage melanoma is needed.
