Abstract
Camilla Schofield considers the coincidence of Brexit and Trump's America in light of the transatlantic history of race and white nationalism. This chapter explores the foundations of modern white nationalism as a global politics of reaction that emerged in the context of decolonisation, migration from the global south and civil rights.
