Abstract
Although debates have been part of education for many years, they have not been part of the core approach with nursing students. Debating issues or topics is a great way to engage with the evidence and develop your critical thinking and communication skills, so we decided to trial this approach at the University of East Anglia, introducing a debating session for first-year children and young people’s nursing students.
