Abstract
A co-authored book with Xavier Barral I Altet. I was responsible for chapters on the historical context of the Tapestry, its historical signficance, patronage, material culture and daily life, as well as commentaries on all the scenes of the Tapestry. I argue for its role as an instrument of peace-making after the violence of 1066 and locate it within a European intellectual context.
