Abstract

Objective: To describe and compare current levels of overweight and obesity in 9 European countries, according to their health perceptions and socio-demographic characteristics. Design: Cross Sectional Web based surveys in Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Norway, Poland, October 2007 and in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Poland, January 2008; with quota samples on gender, age, re gional distribution and living environment. Anthropometrics were constructed from self-reported height and weight. Subjects: 4726 in October 2007; 2437 in January 2008, 50% males and 50% females, aged 20-70 y.
