Abstract

Uses the Soil Potential Ratings (SPR) that were devised by the US Dept of Agriculture to help determine the relative suitability of soils for a given use on an area of Zimbabwe for commercial maize farming. Provides a rating of soil types according to standard yields and the cost and difficulty of obtaining those yields.
