Abstract
The year 2019 was transformational in terms of changing political, academic, and practitioner attitudes towards the regulation of business activity in the digital domain, particularly platforms. The main transformation on which we focus is the view that digital business activities merit much greater competition oversight, especially as the companies operating here have been, in some sense, operating in aWildWest, where those with market power effectively make the rules for the markets they oversee.
