Abstract
What type of memories are memories of the Holocaust? This chapter examines the importance of memory theory for understanding how and why we translate Holocaust poetry. In particular, a poem that was written in memory of the victims of the 'Euthanasia' programme is examined with respect to the choices the translator makes.
